Forester Football Gridiron Gang
The official website of the Lake Forest College Football Parent Group
Here's a little piece of advice for any incoming freshman parents, this is the most fun you will have bar none in the next four years! Tailgating experience is the epitome of good food , camaraderie, and a chance to show our boys that win or lose we are there to support them! The Gridiron Gang is the driving force behind this experience Every home game is planned out by this team of parents to ensure that our boys get a great meal and are able to share their game experiences with all of us. If parents are unable to come to a home game, no need to worry we still make sure all the boys are welcomed and have a good meal. Boys are always welcome to come by any parents tents, introduce themselves, and even talk about the game with any of us! We look forward to all the freshman and their parents joining in all the festivities surrounding Forester football. Our tent is usually in the west corner of tailgate lot, we always have extras for our out of town parents. Meet the Gridiron parents, volunteer to feed the boys it's a great way to meet everyone! "The Catch" by Austin Sobey in 2012 vs. Illinois College!
I was just thinking about our son and his senior LFC friends heading into their last year in football. I remember freshman check in day like it was yesterday. I remember worrying that Brendan would not have the family atmosphere he had in high school. I also remember Brendan telling us he hopes we make some “friends” and would not be by ourselves at the game. We worried for nothing! LFC football is family! By the time I saw my son after the first game, I could tell he was home, and so were we. The Gridiron Gang leaves no one behind. This is serious tailgating at its finest. We have enormous amounts of food and beverages before and after the game for all to enjoy. If you are unable to make games, you never have to worry that your son is alone. They are fed like a king and always taken care of by their LFC family. If you have the opportunity to be at a game, please come early—you do not want to miss the Forester march. It is something you want to witness! I can’t wait to see my old Gridiron family and meet all the new family members!
